Dr. Pamela Leconte Student Membership Application

Thank you for considering applying! We are so excited about your interest! Please read the following carefully:

This fund has been established to award grants to student(s) who exemplify the spirit of Dr. Leconte through advocacy, education, and engagement in the field of vocational evaluation or career assessment.   Recipients must be willing to become an active member of VECAP,  participate in committee(s) for one year, receive mentorship, and engage in continuing education opportunities.

The goal of this grant is for you to develop a foundational, professional network and learn more about practical applications for vocational evaluation.  Your committee participation will be essential in order to get the most out of this opportunity, maintain your membership grant, and have additional options for potential financial assistance with VECAP virtual conferences or Forums. The combination of committee meeting attendance, committee contributions, and board meeting attendance will determine the level of financial support we may be able to allocate for you in the upcoming conference or Forum.

Student members will participate in a committee which will include both attendance in the monthly meeting as well as assist on projects over the course of the month.  Each committee meets on different days/times. Selection of a committee on this application confirms you have reviewed the meeting dates/times and can be in attendance. In addition, we will request that you attend any two board meetings over the course of the year you receive the scholarship.  All scheduled board and committee meetings are available on the calendar on our website: https://www.vecap.org/events.

Completion of this application is required for consideration.  All applications, received by noon on the date of the board meeting, will be reviewed by the VECAP Board in each monthly board meeting.  You will receive notification of application status within one week of the board meeting.

Student members shall be those individuals enrolled full‐time (9 hours per semester or equivalent for undergraduate study, 6 hours or equivalent per semester for graduate study) in recognized educational programs preparing them for practice in the fields of vocational evaluation or work adjustment.
