Vocational Evaluation Services Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our leadership team for an experienced Vocational Evaluator to provide leadership and oversight to our Vocational Evaluation Department.

Position:
We are seeking an energized, positive thinker to conduct comprehensive vocational evaluations, situational assessments, and job-site evaluations, as well as oversee operations and team members in the vocational evaluation services department. This is a full-time salary with benefits opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts vocational evaluations

  • Provides leadership and training to the vocational evaluation team

  • Coaching staff throughout the evaluation process

  • Oversees department operations and vocational evaluators

  • Collaborates with the leadership team on projects and attends meetings

  • Uses a database to enter intake notes, progress notes, reports, and client updates

  • Conducts vocational research, job analyses, labor market surveys, and transferable skills analyses

  • Review vocational, medical, and psychological records

  • Analyzes data and writes comprehensive reports detailing evaluation results and recommendations

  • Provides mentorship to team members who are supervised by the manager

Experience and Educational Requirements:

Candidate must meet one of these requirements:
1. Current certification with the Registry of Professional Vocational Evaluators (PVE) OR Current certification as a Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE) OR American Board of Vocational Experts Diplomat (ABVE/D), Fellow (ABVE/F), International Psychometric Evaluation Certification (IPEC) OR Vocational Evaluator Certificate from a national accredited college or university and at least 3-5 years of experience conducting vocational evaluations or combined vocational evaluation experience with working in employment services for at least 3-5 years. OR

2. Master’s degree in vocational evaluation and at least 3-5 years of experience conducting vocational evaluations or combined vocational evaluation experience with working in employment services for at least 3-5 years. OR

3. Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling/rehabilitation services, social work (clinical), mental health counseling, clinical psychology and at least 3-5 years of experience conducting vocational evaluations or combined vocational evaluation experience with working in employment services for at least 3-5 years.

Required:

  • Must have leadership and managerial experience

  • Must be experienced in vocational evaluations and employment services/supported employment

  • Must be able to pass a level 2 background check

  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance coverage

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Comfortable with traveling throughout the greater Central Florida area and remote working-at-home

  • Experience working with adolescents and adults who have a disability

  • Experience in providing rehabilitation counseling and vocational services to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive employment, such as in vocational evaluation, job placement, employment services, transition/youth services, pre-placement training, job coaching, or supported employment roles is required

  • Quiet workspace with reliable internet access and a telephone for remote appointments

Vocational Evaluator Assistant (Orlando-Kissimmee area):

 

Overview: Make a difference in the lives of those who need help in seeking, obtaining and maintaining employment. Suncoast Evaluations has been helping people reach their employment goals since 2018.

 

Scope: The Vocational Evaluator Assistant will work under direct supervision of a VR approved Vocational Evaluator and will assist with administering tests and other client assessments. In order to be considered, potential applicants must be authorized by the FL Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation.

 

Duties: The vocational evaluation process typically takes place over one to two days. Duties include scheduling and meeting with clients, conducting educational assessments, aptitude assessments and hands-on assessments to develop a career plan. The process will explore clients' strengths and identify what support may be necessary for employment success. The final report is based upon Vocational Evaluator Assistant findings, testing results and observations. Report will include supporting documentation including (but not limited to) Labor Market snapshots.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Accepted degrees include Rehabilitation Counseling / Rehabilitation Services, Social Work (Clinical), Human Services, Counseling (Clinical), Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology AND one year of full time experience using vocational rehabilitation counseling techniques.

 

Schedule: Vocational Evaluator Assistant sets their own schedule based upon client needs.
